You make a very good point. Half the sign up fee ($20 or so) isn't very much and might not be much for them to convince their clients, but the value added service might swing the tables. At the end of the day AutoCarLog still receives the same income. I'll pitch both ideas and let you know which one they received better!

Re the bulk sale to tax accountants...

Getting half of the sign-up fee (ongoing?) is a good incentive for them to refer Autocarlog to their clients.

But, I thought of another pitch going the other way...

Accounting firms may also choose to also offer this product / service to their clients for free or at a subsidised rate (50% off).

This allows them to offer their clients a value-add service which differentiates them from their competitors.

This is taking a long-term client retention / revenue growth approach rather than short-term gains.

The client Autocarlog subs will be assimilated into the overhead cost structure of servicing the clients.

It will no different that the firm subscribing to the latest tax news subscription service or sending their staff to training programs.

The firm can recoup the cost from the client in the future via yearly fee rises, additional work, referrals, etc.

This approach looks at providing a service to the client that is above and beyond their expectations...

My 2 cents... (^_^)

Nice. Your word of mouth for this campaign could well drum up free traditional media/marketing leads, if you're not careful!! Is that out of bounds for this indie endeavour?
