Thanks for your comment!  I wanted to have a fully integrated payment system, rather than having customers redirect to a third party site and direct back.  Yes I could have saved the fee, however I believed the credibility I earned by going down the secure path was worth it. Another positive was that I had never setup an SSL certificate and I wanted to teach myself how.  It might not be required for other projects though!</description>

However I have a question. Why did you buy a ssl certificate for your website , considering the fact that your payments are handled by a third party and it is already secure. You could have saved 88 dollars on that certificate.</description>
